CIMS&R Institute of Training and Research, is a premier R&D Centre in the city, registered under the society “J.J. Educational Institute”, Dehradun, an educational society registered under the Indian society registration act 1860 since 2002. Project/ Dissertation work is not only the essential part of a degree program but also a gateway
for better career opportunities. The importance of the thesis or dissertation in the educational
experience of the undergraduate/graduate or post graduate student should not be underestimated.
Choosing a topic is not important, but what had been found in the research are the significant
things. And also, how one writes the dissertation proposal is also crucial. This is only

Dr. Megha Pant is an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at Combined Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (CIMS & R). She is actively involved in teaching, academic mentoring, laboratory-based practical training, and research activities in the field of Biochemistry, Nanobiotechnology, Molecular Biology, Plant Biotechnology, and Phytochemistry With a strong academic and research orientation, Dr. Pant has developed expertise in biochemical and molecular techniques, phytochemical analysis, nanobiotechnology, green synthesis of nanoparticles, characterization of nanomaterials, and biological evaluation of bioactive compounds. Her research interests also encompass the exploration of medicinal and indigenous plants, natural products, plant-derived bioactive molecules, antimicrobial activity, antioxidant potential, and sustainable biomedical applications Dr. Pant has a Ph.D. in Nanobiotechnology and has contributed to scientific research through publications related to her area of specialization. Her research work reflects an interdisciplinary approach integrating biotechnology, biochemistry, nanotechnology, plant sciences, and biomedical research As an educator, she is passionate about making complex biochemical concepts understandable and clinically relevant for students. She is involved in teaching *Biochemistry to undergraduate students, particularly in allied health sciences and physiotherapy with emphasis on the relationship between biochemical processes, human physiology, metabolism, nutrition, disease, and therapeutic applications. She also has an interest in *hands-on training and capacity building including laboratory techniques related to microbiology, molecular biology, biochemical methods, nanobiotechnology, plant phytochemistry, tissue culture, and mushroom cultivation. Dr. Anjali Uniyal is an Assistant Professor and researcher with a Ph.D. from Swami Rama Himalayan University. Her academic and research interests lie at the intersection of plant biotechnology, molecular biology and phytochemistry, with a particular focus on understanding plant diversity, characterising bioactive compounds and exploring the biological potential of medicinal and economically important plants. Her work integrates molecular approaches with phytochemical profiling to generate meaningful insights into plant genetic resources and their potential applications. Her research interests include genetic diversity analysis using molecular markers, plant tissue culture and biotechnology, molecular characterisation, phytochemical profiling, and the study of medicinal plants. We offer various hands on short-term training program in Life Science. These short terms training are geared for academically determined students and research candidates. We assist students in bettering their understanding on a scientific problem and formulating the projects according to it.
